Triple Chrome Dipped / 4.28.2008

Why is it that I can sleep a solid 9 hours and wake up feeling refreshed, yet after being awake for only 5 hours, I'm ready for a nap. Maybe it's the overwhelming thought of how much work I have to do this week. The semester is almost over and I'm still not really sure where the past year went. If life has taught me nothing else, its that the older you get, the faster time seems to go. Greater amounts of time seem shorter than ever, especially compared to when you're younger. Our perception of time changes so much in our lifetime. This is interesting to note mainly because life is all about perception. Really, life = perception = life ... yeah.

This week I have to:

+ Finish a title sequence for a movie in After Effects.

+ Make a screen print and an edition of 4 intaglio prints.

+ Print my final 22" x 30" Shakespeare poster, as well as design a 8 page program for a 24 hour Shakespeare event.

+ Put a serious dent in my Mucha / iPod painting, which I've yet to even start. I'll post pictures in the coming weeks.

+ Buy more paper.

+ Buy more paint.

+ Avoid sleep at all costs.

Seeing Thursday and talking to those guys the other night was really inspiring. Hearing Tom tell us about when they started off as a band, and how they all got through certain shit in order to make it happen really gave me (us) hope. Not to mention seeing Thursday live in itself is a magical experience. Really up there for best live bands I've seen. Never let me down. 

The EP is coming along beautifully. All thats left to track are cello, vocals, and plenty of auxiliary noises. The plan is to get that up on iTunes ASAP, followed shortly after by an actual pressed version. I absolutely can not wait for everyone, both friends and fans, to hear this. 

I'm kind of at this point where there are a lot of unknowns in my life. I'm trying to embrace it although its not always easy. Hmm... speaking of embracing things, change is one thing you must embrace in life. If you don't, you'll be miserable.
