knowledge is power and sleep clogs the brain

I arrived in Phoenix last night around 11:30 and it was raining. I'm pretty sure it never rains in Phoenix. Maybe a few times a year. I've been here less than 12 hours and I've learned many new things already. I also started keeping a journal of day to day observations, thoughts, questions, etc. Basically all the stuff I need to get off my chest but have trouble actually sharing with people. It feels good to write. My mind feels less cluttered once I get it down on paper.

In other news, we finished up our almost two week tour and it was amazing. I met lots of nice people and made some great friends. The Gifts from Enola guys are hilarious and very kind. They're from Virginia and make awesome music. Overall shows went well, especially the last couple dates. It was a great learning experience and can't wait to get out and do it all again, but this time further and longer. Greg is finishing up vocals / strings this week and then mixing. Live response to the new songs has been great so hopefully it translates well on the EP. I think it will ; )

I've been reading Slaugterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut and it's quite good. I'm picky when it comes to novels but I love his style. I never knew sci-fi could be so relatable. Anyways, I'm about half way through it. More thoughts to come when I finish.

Stress is overwhelming at times but I will overcome. There are things to be learned every day, both good and bad.
