I decided not to go to my painting class tonight. I figure Nathan will cut me a break considering I'm the only guy in the entire class. Too much on my mind to be mixing paint and getting messy, especially after my gesso incident last time.

Greg and I leave for Monroe at 10 am to begin tracking drums. I'm a bit anxious and very excited. I'm looking forward to spending time just getting sounds. We're going for something huge. We'll see what happens : ) There have been a few setbacks regarding this summer, but nothing huge. Things are actually coming together quite nicely.

I got my portfolio back yesterday and I actually didn't do too bad considering I put it together two days before it was due. There were a couple of pieces I regret not putting in, but its okay. I'm just glad thats out of the way. One stressor down, 1,248,398 to go.

I'm not gonna lie, I think we're all a bit overwhelmed right now, but what else can you do? Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute? Can't wait for the summer. The warm weather. A break from school. Complete concentration on the band. Good things are on their way (including a friend from out west).

I came across this website, Things I Have Learned In My Life So Far. It's kind of like a call for submissions about what people have learned in their lives so far, but you submit your life lesson in a design, drawing, photograph, painting, sculpture, video, etc. It kind of ties in with Stefan Sagmeisters book, also titled "Things I Have Learned In My Life So Far". Anyways, take a look at some of the submissions. Very inspirational stuff.
