One thing I noticed after hiking the other day is that time seems to slow down when you're surrounded by nature. By removing myself from the hustle and bustle of everyday things, like computers, and commerce, and everything else we surround ourselves with on a daily basis, I guess it allowed me to truly take in the natural beauty of the world. What seemed like a 4 hour hike actually turned out to be a little less than 2 hours. How could this be?! Looking back I remembered so much detail from the hike. Different points we reached on the mountain, the view from the top, etc. Its like being out there I was able to cram in much more in a shorter amount of time than I ever could in the real world. hah, kind of funny how I make it sound like being in nature isn't "the real world". I guess thats why some people choose to live out here.
I miss everyone back home more and more each day. Thank god Frank came out to hang, otherwise I would have gone crazy for sure. I feel like I'm at huge turning point in my life. Things are speeding up. The future is both incredibly frightening and exciting at the same time. You know how it is.
Speaking of the future, I'm looking into getting an apartment this summer, hopefully with the band. Make it our studio and our home. It's all becoming the same thing for us.
